About to buy a new phone

I am in the market for a new cell phone and I can’t make up my mind.

Some MUSTs (RFC 2119):

  • Windows Mobile 5.0
  • GSM, GPRS, EDGE, etc.
  • Thin (as possible)
  • No sliding keyboard
  • Large and high-esolution screen
  • No external antenna
  • Long battery life
  • WiFi

Some SHOULDs (again, RFC 2119):

  • 3G
  • Integrated GPS
  • Bluetooth

I’ve identified few products that meet some (if not all) of my above requirements. Do you guys know of anything else I should be considering? Do you have an opinion for any of these?

HTC P3300

This is my favorite so far. It’s 16.8mm thin (not the thinnest by far), it has integrated GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, EDGE. However, it’s not 3G.

HTC P3600

This is much better looking than its HTC P3300 cousin and it’s 3G, with two cameras, etc. However, it doesn’t have integrated GPS, which is not necessarily a big problem because I could get a bluetooth one. It is 18.4mm think though 🙁

Motorola Q

Looks nice and it has the same screen resolution as the other ones (240 x 320) albeit at differnet orientation and differnet size. A HUGE plus for this phone is its size. I have held it in my hand and it’s light and thin (11.5mm). However, I am not sure I like the keyboard. It’s a waste of space. I do use my phone for email and text messaging a lot. But do I need one-hand operation all the time? Hmmm… do people have experience?

HTC S620

Same concept as the MotoQ but slightly thicker (12.8mm).

Should I be looking at any other devices? Any comments on these ones? Thanks all!
