Oh no!!! No traveling for 2-4 months!

What can you do to someone who lives to travel?… Tell them that they are not allowed to travel!!!

I am currently in the US on an O-1 visa. Microsoft has started the process for my green card application only a couple of months after my arrival. What I didn’t realize was that once the application is submitted, which happened last week, I am not allowed to travel abroad until I get a receipt that it has been receivedmy application is processed. This takes anything from 2 to 4 months! This is true for O visas but not for H and L ones since those on H and L can travel within a couple of weeks.

This is a big blow. I was planning to do a lot more skiing at Whistler and visit Vancouver as much as possible.

Doh!
