Tim Ewald on Web Services as Objects

Yup… The same old story. Are Web Services technologies going to help us build distributed, object-oriented applications or are we going to use them to build service-oriented systems? My preference for the latter is well known.

makes some interesting comments on this topic. Amongst others, he mentions the lack of lifecycle management for WS. I have a feeling that WS-Lifecycle may be on the way 🙁
