I have been following the development of “Xen”, then “X#”, and now “Comega” for some time. Few months ago I attended the “Modern Concurrency Abstractions for C#” presentation, a description of the polyphonic C# features, at NeSC. I have been waiting for the release of the X# (oops! Comega) compiler for some time now. Jim‘s post reminded me how cool the idea of making XML processing a first class citizen in the .NET kingdom is. And a great bonus to get the polyphonic C# features too. Com’on Microsoft Research. Release the compiler!
