Just bought the new 8GB Zune (the black one). I’ve finally moved away from the iPod (not that I don’t like them… it’s just that my old 60GB iPod was failing on me). Can’t wait to get the 80GB Zune one as well, when it becomes available at the Microsoft company store (mid-Dec).
The new software rocks visually but it’s missing some features of importance to me. For example, all my CD collection is ripped in Windows Media Audio lossless and, as a result, I need the sync software to transform my collection to a smaller-size format when uploading it to the device.

Errr.. I’m usually a total Apple Fanboi just to piss you and Webber off, but here I’m a bit stumped: You switched your 60GB iPod for an 8GB Zune? How? Are you working on a music compression algorithm? 😉

I have not totally switched yet. I got the flash-based Zune for running/gym. The disk-based iPod was failing because of how i was treating it 🙂
The 80GB disk-based Zune will be the true replacement for my current iPod.
As for the F800GS… oh yes! The reason I didn’t buy the F650GS last summer was beucase I’ve been waiting for the F800GS. Having said that… because of this new model, I can find really good deals for the F650GS so I am tempted.
