World Cup in HD

That’s the way to watch football!!! My trips for a weekend of windsurfing at the Hood River were cancelled at the very last minute due to luck of wind, so I was able to watch the Paraguay vs England World Cup 2006 game on ABC and in High Definition (boring game but well done to England). Nothing beats actually being there but this is a great experience. Now, only if the US commentators had a clue about football coverage 🙂 and what’s with the custom graphics rather than the official ones, the useless statistics, and that huuuuge bar at the top.

  1. And I bet they have advert breaks. Maybe you could watch the telly muted and stream five live’s commentary .. they’re streaming the TV coverage, but only to UK IP addresses, not exactly HD, but better IQ 🙂

  2. At least they didn’t have commercial breaks!!!

Hahaha, reminds me of those Budweiser “We’ll do the beer, you do the football” ads 🙂 (Except for I’d prefer the Germans or the Belgians to do the beer 😉

I’ve found it easier to watch the coverage on the Spanish channels. It’s more understandable than the American commentary, that’s for sure. 😉
