Hmm… Then there’s the matter of whether you include the recipients’ names and titles in the To: field, or not.
I remember seeing someone writing an email to (something like) “Dr. Foo Bar”, and assuming this name must have come from the identity that ‘Foo Bar’ had set up in his mail client.
The conversation went something like:
“So, he includes the title ‘Dr’ in his emails?”
“Nah, I just added that in. It’s just arse-licking, you see?”
