Summer festivals

I visited the Folklife festival here in Seattle over the weekend and I had a great time. I was really surprised to hear Greek music from “Children of the Revolution” who were not bad (it turns out that their lead singer is a second-generation Greek). It was a great atmosphere

Greek and Turkish F16s collide

Apologies for the political nature of this post but I just wanted to express my frustration for the continuing stupidity of both the Greek and Turkish sides. The people have so much in common, we are so much alike that it’s ridiculous we allow the past to dictate our future.

The Ice Hotel

Just watched a documentary on the Discovery Channel about the construction of the Ice Hotel. If I remember well it was featured in a James Bond movie scene few years ago. It looks like a fascinating place to visit and stay. Hmmm.
